Luis’s 1964 Fairlane

Luis’s 1964 Fairlane is a really cool build on a not-so-common car. This car evolved from a simple camshaft swap to a full build. We didn’t touch the outside of the body because it was already in pretty good shape, as well as the interior. We found the engine had multiple issues when we pulled the camshaft, which led us to having the engine fully built. John over at Hall of Fame Motorsports built a very stout 450 hp 347ci stroker sbf for us, which has all the torque you could need on the street. It’s backed by the T5 5-speed that had been recently put in it with a Mcleod twin disc clutch.

While the engine was out, we installed a Total Cost Involved front suspension system and had the engine bay shaved and painted the color of the body. Of course, we fully rewired the car and installed new gauges, as well as all-new LED lighting, including headlights from Dapper Lighting. Out back, we did away with the old leaf springs and installed a Rod & Customs 4 link rear suspension with coilovers. Now this car sits and rides like a modern car. All stopped by 4 piston Wilwood brakes all the way around, which is plenty of braking for a light car like this. Luis and his Dad Raul, have put a bunch of miles on this car enjoying all the hard work that went into it. We appreciate the opportunity to build such a fun car.
